Investing in the aerospace industry<\/h1>\n

The aerospace sector is emerging strongly in Galicia. This is an environment in which technology, knowledge and talent go hand in hand toward competitiveness and growth, thus making the region an ideal place to invest and set up businesses.<\/p>\n

The Xunta de Galicia strongly supports the development of the unmanned vehicle industry through the Civil UAVs Initiative, and has made the largest public investment in Europe in this segment of the aerospace sector.<\/p>\n

The Galician Aerospace Centre offers the industry the necessary infrastructures for the development of solutions in the field of systems and unmanned vehicles.<\/p>\n

The Rozas Aeronautics Research Centre (CIAR)<\/strong> offers an integral, innovative and comprehensive service for testing both manned and unmanned aerial platforms.<\/p>\n

Rozas is a fully functioning centre <\/strong>that also has a 1,200\u00a0m long x 45\u00a0m wide runway, an area of 343\u00a0hectares, and a 40\u00a0m x 40\u00a0m hangar; as well as all the equipment needed for safe operation of both manned and unmanned aircraft.<\/p>\n

Its infrastructures and installed instrumentation make CIAR unique for the development of products and solutions in an efficient and safe manner. The Centre is capable of offering companies high-quality facilities such as a test control centre, located in the control tower; an innovative air safety system; a modular communications system with five checkpoints; a research laboratory to conduct simulation tests of unmanned vehicle traffic and an on-site meteorological system.<\/p>\n

The Rozas Technological and Industrial Park<\/strong> is conceived as a business and technological infrastructure whose objective is to attract stable investments from aerospace sector companies to Galicia.<\/p>\n

Two of the Xunta de Galicia’s technological partners in the Civil UAVs Initiative; Indra and Babcock, will be present in the park with excellent hangar facilities, whose construction works are already underway.<\/p>\n

The companies based in the park, which is part of the airfield, will have preferential access to the airfield and the CIAR facilities.<\/p>\n

El sector aeroespacial emerge con fuerza en Galicia. Un entorno en el que la tecnolog\u00eda, el conocimiento y el talento se dan la mano hacia la competitividad y el crecimiento, haciendo de la comunidad un lugar id\u00f3neo para invertir e instalar empresas.<\/p>

La Xunta de Galicia apoya de forma decidida el desarrollo de la industria de los veh\u00edculos no tripulados a trav\u00e9s de la Civil UAVs Initiative, que constituye la mayor inversi\u00f3n p\u00fablica en Europa en este segmento del sector aeroespacial.<\/p>

El Polo Aeroespacial de Galicia ofrece a la industria las infraestructuras necesarias para el desarrollo de soluciones en el \u00e1mbito de los sistemas y los veh\u00edculos no tripulados.<\/p>

El Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Aerotransportada de Rozas (CIAR)<\/strong> ofrece un servicio integral, innovador y completo para la realizaci\u00f3n de ensayos de plataformas a\u00e9reas tanto tripuladas como no tripuladas.<\/p>

Rozas es un centro<\/strong> en pleno funcionamiento que dispone, adem\u00e1s, de una pista de 1.200 metros de largo por 45 metros de ancho, un \u00e1rea de 343 hect\u00e1reas de superficie y un hangar de 40 x 40 metros; as\u00ed como de todo el equipamiento necesario para la operaci\u00f3n segura de aeronaves, tanto tripuladas como no tripuladas.<\/p>

Sus infraestructuras y la instrumentaci\u00f3n implementada hacen del CIAR un marco \u00fanico para el desarrollo de productos y soluciones de forma eficiente y segura y permiten ofrecer a las empresas servicios de alta cualificaci\u00f3n como un centro de control de ensayos, situado en la torre de control; un innovador sistema de seguridad a\u00e9rea; un sistema de comunicaciones modular con cinco puestos de control; un laboratorio de investigaci\u00f3n para la realizaci\u00f3n de pruebas de simulaci\u00f3n de tr\u00e1fico de veh\u00edculos no tripulados o un sistema meteorol\u00f3gico in situ.<\/p>
