This requires facilities to have the appropriate infrastructure and adequate risk management in place, to enable test flights under safe conditions.<\/p>\n<p>However, the infrastructure available in most countries that develop UAVs is not adapted to meet the needs of these vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, <strong>the Joint Rozas Aeronautics Research Centre (<em>CIAR<\/em>)<\/strong> has been converted into a pioneering and unique infrastructure for carrying out certified testing of unmanned vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>CIAR, <\/em>which is jointly managed by the Xunta de Galicia and the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (<em>INTA<\/em>), has an investment of <strong>over \u20ac\u00a010\u00a0million since 2015<\/strong>. The latter is a Public Research Agency of the General State Administration and the main reference for aerospace R&amp;D in Spain. All data are received in real time and multiple tests can be performed simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>After its rehabilitation and fitting out, the control tower that completes the CIAR facilities is one of the most technologically advanced in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The CIAR communications system<\/strong>, with five checkpoints, is another important facility at the centre, which also has an innovative meteorological service. It monitors ambient temperature, dew point temperature, rainfall, pressure, humidity and wind. The first phase of this park has an area of 31\u00a0419.5\u00a0m<sup>2<\/sup>, of which 7\u00a0180\u00a0m<sup>2<\/sup> are reserved for companies interested in hangars dedicated to aerospace value chain activities. Recibe todos los datos en tiempo real y permite realizar varios ensayos al mismo tiempo.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras su rehabilitaci\u00f3n y dotaci\u00f3n de equipamiento, la torre de control que completa el CIAR se configura como una de las m\u00e1s avanzadas tecnol\u00f3gicamente de Europa.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El <\/span><b>sistema de comunicaciones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> del CIAR, con cinco puestos de control, es otro importante equipamiento del centro; que tambi\u00e9n cuenta con un innovador servicio meteorol\u00f3gico. En \u00e9l se monitorizan temperatura ambiente, temperatura de punto de roc\u00edo, pluviometr\u00eda, presi\u00f3n, humedad y viento.
